How are current Medicare Part B patients already being treated with V.A.C.^® Therapy as of July 1, 2008 affected?

Current Medicare Part B patients already being treated with V.A.C.^® Therapy as of July 1, 2008, will be grandfathered and can continue V.A.C.^® Therapy.  These patients will receive a letter asking them if they wish to continue with V.A.C.^® Therapy.  If they do not indicate a desire to switch suppliers, KCI will be able to continue providing equipment and supplies to these patients as a grandfathered supplier for as long as their prescriber deems V.A.C.^® Therapy medically necessary.
