| Purpose: To Present information on the rationale for and use of negative pressure wound therapy. Target Audience: This CME/CE activity is intended for physicians and nurses with an interested in using negative pressure therapy in the treatment of wounds. Learning Objectives: 1. Identify patients with wounds who would benefit from negative pressure wound therapy and patients for whom this modality wound contraindicated. 2. Describe the rationale for using negative pressure in the treatment of wounds. 3. Discuss guidelines for the appropriate use of negative pressure wound therapy. |
