KCI's Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Policy Statement

REAFFIRMATION OF KINETIC CONCEPTS, INC.
EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY AND AFFIRMATIVE ACTION POLICY

In order to insure the success of our Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Policy (EEO/AA) policy, I want to restate Kinetic Concepts, Inc.'s (KCI) policy on this subject.

First, KCI continues to be an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer. The continued success of our business growth and competitiveness depends heavily on our EEO/AA compliance program efforts in addition to the full and effective utilization of all available talent. To this end, KCI’s policy is to provide Equal Employment Opportunity to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin/ancestry/citizenship, age, disability, status in the United States military and/or veteran status, martial status, sexual orientation, or any other protected class status.  Our EEO/AA policy applies to all areas of employment, including in part: recruitment and hiring, compensation and benefits, promotion and transfer, training and development, discipline and discharge, and recreational and social activities.

Second, as a Federal government contractor, KCI is required to annually develop written Affirmative Action Plans (AAPs) to employ and advance in employment qualified women, minorities, individuals with disabilities, and veteran status individuals.  Relevant portions of these plans are available for inspection by contacting KCI’s EEO Administrator, Deborah Allen at 210- 255-6476.

Third, through management delegation and staff assignment described below, our Company EEO/AA policy is put into practice and I personally monitor management commitment to our compliance efforts and results.  KCI’s Sr. Vice President of Human Resources, Jim Cravens, has responsibility for the overall direction of the EEO/AA compliance programs.  Management responsibility for these programs has been delegated to KCI’s Manager of EEO & Diversity, Budd Bowen.  Questions concerning our EEO/AA policy or AAPs should be directed to Budd at 210-255-6699.

Fourth, the Company is committed to providing a work environment that is free of harassment, discrimination, and/or retaliation based on sex, race, color, religion, national origin, age, disability, age or veteran status; and every KCI manager and employee is responsible for day to day compliance with the policy.  KCI will not tolerate any form of illegal harassment, discrimination and/or retaliation in the workplace, and will hold managers and employees who violated this policy accountability, including any required discipline and discharge.  More specific information is provided in KCI’s EEO Policy, as well as in training materials provided for (a) supervisors and managers, and (b) new hire orientation.

Fifth, if you feel that you have been harassed, discriminated, and/or retaliated against because of your sex, race, color, religion, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status; we encourage you to immediately contact your HR representative or the Manager of EEO & Diversity.  Complaints alleging harassment, discrimination and/or retaliation will be investigated promptly in a confidential manner, including all required corrective action.

Finally, I am confident that all of us, working together, will create and maintain an environment which is free of harassment, discrimination, and/or retaliation; while encouraging the full and equal participation of all available talent, and that ongoing progress in meeting our EEO/AA compliance objectives will continue to add to KCI’s business growth and competitiveness

Effective February 14, 2007

Cathy Burzik, President & CEO
