Pathways to Excellence – Mentor Tier
Pathways to Excellence Mentor Tier offers a unique opportunity to provide advanced V.A.C.® Therapy application skills to experienced clinicians who may then train other clinicians within their facility or agency on basic V.A.C.® Therapy.  The course is structured as a “train the trainer” type of program for clinicians who qualify.
 
 
Mentor Candidate Qualifications Include: Advanced wound care practitioners (i.e., MD, PA, RN, PT) who have completed the "Professional Tier" program, completed at least three (3) modules of the "Specialist Tier" program, and have demonstrated experience in the use of the V.A.C.® Therapy System.

  • Management of enteric fistula
  • Management of open abdomen
  • Management of flaps and grafts


V.A.C.® Therapy Tips and Techniques for Challenging Applications

  • Tunneling and undermining       
  • Y- connecting and bridging
  • External fixators                          
  • Foot applications
  • Stoma in a wound
  • Off-loading
