KCI's V.A.C.® Therapy Systems incorporate several features to help enhance patient safety. T.R.A.C.® technology regulates pressure at the wound site, and our advanced Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) units allow constant monitoring during the wound treatment process.

 
 
Integrated Advanced Safety Features

  • Built-In Safety Alarms:  Smart Alarms™ alert caregiver if corrective action is required.

  • Pressure Setting Limits:  Ensure that safe levels of negative pressure are maintained at the level the clinician sets.

  • Therapy Lock-Outs:  Therapy settings can be locked to help prevent tampering.

  • Automatic Pump Shutoff:  Electronic sensors in the unit stop the pump when canister is full.

  • Sealed, Single-Use Disposable Canister:  Integrated bacterial retentive filter helps prevent V.A.C.® Therapy unit contamination.

  • Multi-Feature Control Screen:  Helps caregivers monitor therapy, adjust settings and ensure therapy compliance.

  • Service and Maintenance:   KCI helps ensure that facilities have fully functional therapy units in compliance with infection control requirements.
